This is a fantastic aria from Act III of Tannhäuser, "Song of the Evening Star". Although fairly short, it is absolutely beautiful and easily played on contrabass or basstuba as it only goes up to D above the staff. This arrangement was made after hearing the wonderful John Fletcher play this piece.

Difficulty: Relatively easy, but high tessitura.
